Wheel & Tire Test Fitting Guide

⚠️ IMPORTANT: READ COMPLETELY BEFORE INSTALLATION

Mounting tires on wheels or any signs of wear voids all return eligibility.

Thank you for choosing TFS Wheels! To ensure proper fitment and maintain your return eligibility, please follow these test fitting instructions carefully.

Before You Begin

  • Professional installation is strongly recommended
  • NEVER use power tools for test fitting or installation
  • Keep wheels and tires protected from surface damage during the test process

Step 1: Verify Basic Fitment

  • Confirm wheel bolt pattern aligns perfectly with your vehicle's studs
  • Ensure wheel sits completely flat against the mounting surface
  • Hand-thread each lug nut to verify proper threading with your vehicle's studs
  • Secure wheel by hand-tightening lug nuts in a star pattern

Step 2: Check Internal Clearances

With wheel mounted, visually inspect for adequate clearance around:

  • Brake calipers
  • Inner valve stems
  • Wheel weights (if present)

Rotate wheel slowly by hand, checking clearance at all positions.

Step 3: Prepare for Ground Testing

  • Place protective cardboard under all wheels
  • Carefully lower vehicle onto the cardboard
  • Do not drive the vehicle during test fitting

Step 4: Verify Full Clearance

  • Have an assistant slowly turn the steering wheel to full left position
    • Watch carefully for any contact with fenders, suspension components, or wheel wells
  • Repeat the process for full right position

⚠️ Remember: Suspension will compress during actual driving, potentially reducing clearance.

Final Installation

If all clearances are confirmed:

  • Use a torque wrench to tighten lug nuts to your vehicle's specifications
  • Remove all protective materials before driving
