Sitting between all-terrain and mud-terrain categories, it delivers aggressive off-road capability without abandoning on-road manners. Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification confirms it meets severe-snow service standards, making it a genuine four-season option for truck owners.

The symmetrical tread pattern features an aggressive block layout with deep tread depth that sustains consistent grip as the tire wears. Extended tread onto the sidewall adds bite in loose or rocky terrain. 3D multi-wave siping reinforces traction on snow and wet surfaces, and the tire can be studded where local regulations allow. A 45,000-mile limited tread warranty backs the design's durability claims.

We stock the Sailun Terramax RT in 32 sizes for 17"–22" wheels — every size below lists its exact specs.

Key Features

Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certified for severe-snow service conditions

Hybrid AT/MT tread bridges all-terrain and mud-terrain performance

Deep tread depth maintains consistent grip throughout the tire's life

Extended tread onto the sidewall for added bite in rugged off-road terrain

3D multi-wave siping enhances wet and winter traction

Stud-ready construction for extra grip on ice where permitted

45,000-mile limited tread life warranty for added ownership confidence

Performance Profile

Season Coverage: Hybrid Rugged-Terrain All-Weather — Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certified (severe snow service)

Projected Longevity: 45,000-mile manufacturer tread-life warranty

About Sailun Tires

Sailun is a global tire manufacturer that combines research, development, and advanced production processes to bring dependable, real-world performance to drivers at an accessible price point. The company's engineering focus spans a broad range of vehicle types and driving conditions, resulting in a diverse product portfolio built around consistent quality and reliability.

Sailun's tire lineup covers several distinct categories. The Inspire and Atrezzo series are designed for passenger car applications, prioritizing traction and handling stability. The Terramax series addresses the demands of truck owners and off-road enthusiasts, offering durable construction and confident grip on challenging terrain. Rounding out the range, the Erange EV Ecosphere is purpose-built for electric vehicles, engineered to manage high instant torque loads while supporting extended battery range and a comfortable ride.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Terramax RT different from a standard all-terrain tire?

The Terramax RT occupies a hybrid position between all-terrain and mud-terrain designs, so its tread blocks are more aggressive and its tread depth is greater than a typical AT tire. It also carries Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification, which standard all-terrain tires often lack. That combination makes it more capable in mud, loose rock, and snow without being as loud or harsh as a dedicated mud-terrain tire.

Is the Terramax RT genuinely good in winter conditions?

Yes — the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake certification means the tire has passed standardized testing for severe-snow traction, not just light winter use like a conventional all-season. The 3D multi-wave siping and all-weather compound contribute to grip in cold and snowy conditions. That said, if you drive primarily on ice or in extreme winter environments, a dedicated winter tire will still outperform any rugged-terrain design.

Can the Terramax RT be studded for extra ice traction?

Yes, the Terramax RT is designed to accept studs, which can meaningfully improve grip on hard-packed ice. Studding is regulated or prohibited in some states and provinces, so check your local laws before having studs installed. A qualified tire shop can stud the tires at the time of mounting.

How long should a set of Terramax RT tires last?

Sailun backs the Terramax RT with a 45,000-mile limited tread life warranty, which is the manufacturer's commitment assuming proper inflation, regular rotation, and normal use. Actual mileage will vary based on driving habits, vehicle load, and the proportion of off-road use, since aggressive terrain accelerates wear faster than highway driving.

Where are Sailun Terramax RT tires manufactured?

Sailun operates manufacturing facilities in China and Vietnam, and Terramax RT tires may be produced at either location depending on the specific size and production run.
