Its H speed rating supports spirited driving even in cold conditions, while the tire's construction prioritizes stable handling and predictable braking on snow-packed and icy roads. Ride comfort remains composed, and road noise is kept at a reasonable level for a dedicated winter tire.

The Avalanche XUV features an aggressive directional tread pattern optimized for winter traction, with deep biting edges and multi-angle sipes that channel slush and water away from the contact patch. The winter-specific rubber compound stays pliable in sub-freezing temperatures, maintaining grip where all-season tires begin to harden and lose effectiveness. The tread design balances snow evacuation efficiency with sufficient block rigidity for dry and wet road stability.

We stock the Hercules Avalanche XUV in 8 sizes for 18"–20" wheels — every size below lists its exact specs.

Performance Profile

Season Coverage: Winter

About Hercules Tires

Hercules has been manufacturing tires since 1952, operating out of its headquarters in Findlay, OH.
