It delivers confident grip on both dry and wet pavement, prioritizes a quiet and comfortable ride, and incorporates a design aimed at reducing fuel consumption and environmental impact — making it a practical warm-weather choice for everyday drivers.

The Kinergy Eco2 uses an asymmetrical tread pattern featuring three wide circumferential grooves that evacuate water and lower hydroplaning risk, complemented by angled grooves and wide lateral shoulder channels that further clear water for better wet-road handling and braking. A high-grip silica compound boosts traction in both wet and dry conditions, while an optimized pitch sequence keeps road noise low. This tire carries no mileage warranty beyond the manufacturer's standard coverage.

Key Features

Three wide circumferential grooves reduce hydroplaning risk on wet roads

Wide lateral shoulder grooves enhance wet-weather handling and braking

High-grip silica compound delivers traction in both wet and dry conditions

Asymmetrical tread pattern optimized for warm-weather passenger car use

Low rolling resistance design supports improved fuel efficiency

Optimized pitch sequencing minimizes road noise for a quieter cabin

Black sidewall finish suits a broad range of passenger vehicle styles

Performance Profile

Season Coverage: Summer Touring

Projected Longevity: UTQG treadwear 220

Traction Grade: A (UTQG wet traction)

Temperature Grade: A (UTQG heat resistance)

About Hankook Tires

Established in 1947, Hankook is a South Korean tire manufacturer that has grown into a globally recognized original equipment supplier to numerous major automakers. In cold, icy, or snowy conditions, the tire's grip and pliability decline significantly. Drivers in climates with harsh winters should switch to a dedicated winter tire for that season.

How does the Kinergy Eco2 (K435) handle wet roads?

The tread design includes three wide straight grooves that push water out from under the contact patch to reduce hydroplaning, along with angled grooves and wide lateral shoulder channels that further aid water evacuation.
