It pairs a fuel-efficient tread compound with reliable traction across dry, wet, and light winter conditions, making it a practical everyday choice backed by a 65,000-mile tread life warranty.

A symmetrical tread pattern built around a low-rolling-resistance compound forms the foundation of the Assurance CS Fuel Max. Dual Aquachannel Grooves channel water away from the contact patch to reduce hydroplaning risk, while sipes and a central wet-traction zone sharpen grip on slick roads. Reinforced shoulder blocks support steering response and cornering stability, and a computer-optimized tread pitch keeps cabin noise in check. Twin steel belts and a polyester casing round out the construction for durability and ride comfort.

We stock the Goodyear Assurance CS Fuel Max in 25 sizes for 16"–19" wheels — every size below lists its exact specs.

Key Features

Fuel-saving tread compound engineered to reduce rolling resistance

Dual Aquachannel Grooves channel water out to resist hydroplaning

Central wet-traction zone with sipes for grip on slick surfaces

Reinforced shoulder blocks for responsive steering and cornering

Computer-tuned tread pitch sequence minimizes road noise

Polyester casing and twin steel belts for durability and ride comfort

65,000-mile limited tread life warranty for long-term value

Performance Profile

Season Coverage: All-Season Touring

Projected Longevity: UTQG treadwear 600

Traction Grade: A (UTQG wet traction)

Temperature Grade: B (UTQG heat resistance)

About Goodyear Tires

Established in 1898 in Akron, Ohio, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company takes its name from vulcanized rubber pioneer Charles Goodyear. The company has built a legacy of technical milestones spanning more than a century, including the introduction of the first all-weather tire in 1908 and the development of tires used during the Apollo 14 lunar mission. Goodyear has also maintained a long-standing role as the sole tire supplier for NASCAR's top three racing series for over six decades.

Goodyear's lineup covers a wide range of driving needs, anchored by the performance-oriented Eagle family and the everyday-versatility Assurance series. Additional lines include the Wrangler for trucks and SUVs, Endurance for trailer applications, and the UltraGrip and WinterCommand winter tire ranges. The brand's recognizable blimp continues to appear at major sporting events around the world, reflecting Goodyear's enduring presence in both motorsport and mainstream culture.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Assurance CS Fuel Max help improve fuel economy?

The tire is built with a specialized low-rolling-resistance tread compound that reduces the energy your engine needs to keep the tire moving. Less rolling resistance translates directly into lower fuel consumption over time, which adds up to meaningful savings on longer commutes and highway driving.

How does this tire perform in wet weather?

A dedicated wet-traction zone running through the center of the tread, combined with Dual Aquachannel Grooves and sipes, works to push water out from under the tire and maintain contact with the road surface. This design significantly lowers the risk of hydroplaning in rain. That said, for severe winter conditions like deep snow or heavy ice, a dedicated winter tire will still offer a higher level of grip.

What vehicles is the Assurance CS Fuel Max designed for?

This tire is sized and engineered for passenger SUVs, crossovers, minivans, sedans, and coupes. It is not intended for light trucks or heavy-duty hauling applications. Our catalog covers 25 sizes spanning 16-inch through 19-inch rim diameters to fit a wide range of popular vehicles.

Is the ride quality comfortable and quiet?

Goodyear designed the Assurance CS Fuel Max with a polyester casing that absorbs road irregularities to smooth out the ride. The tread pitch is computer-optimized to break up the repeating sound patterns that cause tire hum, keeping interior noise at a comfortable level for daily driving.

What warranty coverage comes with this tire?

The Assurance CS Fuel Max is covered by a 65,000-mile limited manufacturer tread life warranty.
